I'm a woman, a daughter, a sister, a wife, a dog mom, a licensed marriage and family therapist, and a San Francisco resident. My passion is walking alongside people as they navigate their cultural identity and history, and as they reclaim who they are. The people who work with me often bring the stories they’ve been holding that aren’t just theirs, but also their ancestors’. They bring in their emotional inheritance. Their family legacy. Generations of suffering, survival, and trauma. Generations of strength, resilience, and grit. And they’re carrying this on their tongues, in their hearts, and on their backs.
As the eldest daughter of immigrants and descendant of displaced people, I have context for many of the multicultural challenges I've named. You may find comfort in knowing we have some shared language, meaning, understanding, and experiences.
My style is warm and engaging, relaxed, and curious. What you bring into the therapeutic space can be heavy, scary, and uncomfortable to experience—I'll meet you there and hold it with you for a time.
Lastly, I’ll follow your lead on what you want to bring into therapy. I'm here for the times when you have specific goals you want to work toward, as well as the times when you just need a protected, sacred place to unburden yourself.
When I'm not working I can be found doing one of the following: spending time with loved ones, going for a walk, listening to music or podcasts, reading fiction and poetry, traveling, watching mindless shows, or writing.
